Mid Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month (September 21st in 2021) and closely coincides with two other important celestial events that mark seasonal change: the Autumn Equinox-when the day and night are equally long-and the Harvest Moon-the first full moon of autumn or the last full moon of summer, depending on the year.
